2 slices bacon, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 celery stalk, chopped
4 cups water
1 can (16 oz.) small white beans, undrained
1 can (16 oz.) pinto beans, undrained
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup MINUTE Original Rice
Cook and stir bacon in large saucepan on medium heat, until browned. Add onion and celery; cook and stir until tender.
Add water, beans, tomato sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; cover. Bring to boil. Stir in rice; cover. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.
Makes 8 cups or 8 servings.
