1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
1-1/4 cups boiling water
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Dash of salt
1 cup Cool Whip
1 pie shell or graham cracker crust
Dissolve jello in boiling water. Add strawberries; stir until berries thaw. Chill about 45 minutes.
Meantime, blend cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt. Fold in a small amount of cool whip, then fold in remainder. Spread half in bottom of the crust. Cover with jello mixture, and repeat layers. Chill until set.
