1 quart strawberries, cleaned and drained on paper towel
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup water
3 heaping teaspoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons powdered strawberry gelatine
2 drops red food coloring (optional)
1 baked pie shell
Whipped cream for topping
Cook together until clear; strawberries, sugar, water, and cornstarch. Remove from heat. Add gelatine and food coloring; mix well. Cool slightly. Pour strawberry mixture into the baked pie shell. Chill until set. Serve with whipped cream.
