2-1/2 sticks butter 3 cups sugar 6 eggs, separated 3 cups cake flour 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup sour cream 3 teaspoons vanilla extract Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks, 1 at a time. Sift flour and soda; add alternately with sour cream to creamed mixture. Beat well. Fold in stiffly beaten egg white and vanilla. Pour into 10" tube pan. Bake at 300 deg F. for 1-1/4 hours. |
