1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon butter 1 cup tomato soup 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1-1/2 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon cloves (optional) 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 1/2 cup raisins, plumped (see note below) Mix sugar, butter and soup together. Sift together flour and spices. Gradually add to soup mixture. Add walnuts and raisins.
