This recipe was sent in by Virginia, an internet friend. She got it from a relative of her husband who lives in Canada. Thanks, Virginia.

1 dozen oranges, sliced thin
1 dozen lemons, sliced thin
1 dozen medium-large potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
5 lb. sugar
1 pack yeast
1 slice of medium toast
3 gallons water

Mix all ingredients, except toast and water, together in a 5 gallon bucket. Mix well. Pour in the water. Mix well again. Place toast on top (let it float).

Let stand for 15 days. Syphon twice through double folded cheese cloth with cotton in the middle. Syphon into clear bottles.
