Polish Sausage w/Vegetables

This receipe was received from an internet friend. Thanks, Shirley.

Polish sausage
4 or 5 peeled potatoes, left whole (if large, cut in half)
4 or 5 carrots, cut in 1/3's
1/2 head cabbage, cut in 1/2
1/2 stick butter
1 onion
Bell pepper, cut in 1/4 (optional)
2 stalks celery, cut in 1/2 (optional)

Tear off enough aluminum foil to line a 9 x 13" pan and fold over top. Line pan with foil.

Place sausage on each side of pan. Pile vegetables in the middle. Cut butter into slices and lay on top of vegetables. Pour about 1/2 cup water over everything. Salt and pepper to taste. Fold foil tightly over top.

Bake at 350 deg. for about 1 hour, or until vegetables are tender.

*Note: You can add seasonal things like corn-on-cob, fresh squash, or mushrooms, eg.

I substituted frozen corn-on-cob for the cabbage. Delicious!
