1 large can crushed pineapple

1 cup sugar

1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix

2 cups milk

Sliced bananas (dipped in lemon juice so they don't turn brown)

3-1/2 cups cool whip

Pecans, chopped (for garnish)

 

Poke holes in the cooled cake with handle of wooden spoon. 

 

Boil pineapple and sugar together until sugar is dissolved.  Cool.  Pour cooled pineapple mixture over cake.  Put bananas in single layer over pineapple.

 

Mix pudding as directed with milk.  Let thicken for a bit, then spread over banana layer.  Top with cool whip and garnish with nuts.  Refrigerate.
