1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 egg, slightly beaten
 
In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt until well blended.  Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until dough is in small particles; stir in egg; blend well.  Form into a ball; refrigerate overnight or until ready to use.
