Honey Ginger Snaps

1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
 
Cream honey, butter, sugar, and egg together until fluffy.  Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.  Add to creamed mixture.  Chill 1 hour.
 
Roll level tablespoons of dough into balls and place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.  Bake 10 to 12 minutes in pre-heated 375 deg. oven.
 
Makes 4 dozen cookies.
