Steak and Potatoes w/gravy

4 cubed steaks
4 medium potatoes, quartered
Salt & Pepper to taste
Garlic Salt to taste (optional)
Onion Salt to taste (optional)
1-1/2 cups water

Flour steaks. Season. Place in skillet or dutch oven in small amount of oil. Brown on both sides. Pour off excess grease. Add water; add potatoes, turning to coat. You will probably want to salt the potatoes. Cover and simmer over low heat about 1 hour, until potatoes are done. Remove to platter and keep warm while you make gravy. Just add 1 to 2 tablespoons flour with salt and pepper to gravy sauce and 3/4 to 1 cup water. Stir and cook until thickened. Serve with steak and potatoes. Serves 2 to 4 persons.

*Note: If you prefer, you can use tenderized round steak. If I do, I cut into serving sizes first.
*Note: You really need to add the additional salt to potatoes before they cook for best flavor. Otherwise, the potatoes will steal the seasonings from the steaks and you could have a bland meal.
