1 cup margarine, softened 1 cup sugar 1 egg, separated 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup chopped pecans, divided Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in egg yolks, vanilla and flour. Stir in 1/2 cup pecans. Spread dough evenly on a lightly greased jelly roll pan, 15 x 10 x 1. Beat egg white until frothy, brush over dough. Sprinkle with remaining pecans. Bake at 350 deg. for 25 to 30 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool slightly and cut into bars. Yield: 3-1/2 dozen bars. |
