Spicy Beans 'n Rice

 
This is a published Minute Original Rice recipe.

1 can (16 oz.) kidney beans, undrained
1 cup water
3/4 cup picante sauce or salsa
1-1/2 cups Minute Original Rice, uncooked
Chopped cilantro or parsley (optional)
 
Bring kidney beans, water, and picante sauce to boil in medium saucepan.
 
Stir in rice; cover.  Remove from heat.  Let stand 5 minutes.  Fluff with fork.  Sprinkle with cilantro or parsley, if desired.
 
Makes 4 cups or 6 servings.
