Orange Cranberry Muffins

1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 oz. unsalted butter, softened (1 stick)
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
3/4 cup orange juice
1 cup dry cranberries
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.  Set aside.

In mixing bowl, cream butter with brown sugar until light and fluffy.  Slowly add eggs to butter mixture, a little at a time, beating well after each addition, until light.

Fold in flour mixture alternately with juice, mixing well after each addition.  Stir in cranberries.  Divide equally among 12 greased muffin cups.  Sprinkle evenly with mixture of sugar and cinnamon.  Bake at 400 deg. for 14-16 minutes or until muffins test done with wooden toothpick.  Let cool before serving.

Makes 12 muffins.
