Meat 'n Potato Tacos


This is an Old ElPaso recipe.

1 lb. ground beef
8 ozs. (2 cups) frozen hash browns
1/2 medium onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
1 envelope OLD EL PASO Taco Seasoning Mix (1/3 cup)
1 10-oz. can OLD EL PASO Tomatoes and Green Chilies
12 OLD EL PASO Taco Shells
Lettuce
Shredded cheddar cheese
OLD EL PASO Taco Sauce

In skillet, combine ground beef, hash browns, and onion; cook until meat is brown and onion is tender. Stir in seasoning mix and tomatoes and green chilies; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, place taco shells on baking sheet. Heat in 350 deg F. preheated oven for 5-7 minutes. Spoon meat mixture into taco shells. Top with lettuce, shredded cheese, and taco sauce.
