Macaroni, Tomatoes and Hamburger

6 cups COOKED macaroni, drained
1 lb. hamburger
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 28-oz. can Hunt's diced tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
Dash garlic salt
1/2 tablespoon minced onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 oz. Hunt's tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
2 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled up

Brown onion and hamburger, salting meat to taste. Drain in colander. Place tomatoes in the pan with onion salt, garlic salt, minced onion, salt, tomato sauce and water. Cook just until tomatoes are tender. Add cooked macaroni and bacon pieces to the tomato mixture (sometimes I also add about a tablespoon bacon grease for additional flavor). Mix well. Add salt and pepper if needed.

*Note: Sometimes we make a meal from just this. But also good with pinto beans and cornbread as side dish, or even corn on cob!
